Areti Adamopoulou

History of Art

Areti Adamopoulou studied Archaeology and Art History at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (BA, PhD) and at the University of Essex, UK (MA). Prior to her current position she has taught art history at a wide range of institutions. She worked as an art historian and curator at the Ephorate of Modern Monuments, the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art and at the Contemporary Art Center of Thessaloniki. She has published widely, in Greek and English, in journals and edited volumes. Her research interests focus on contemporary art, national identity and art, art history’s history and the art market.
